New services form part of new cloud security practice
London, 21st June 2011 – Independent IT integrator SecureData, has today announced the launch of its Affinity suite of encrypted cloud storage gateway services, as part of the company’s new cloud security practice.
Affinity services allow enterprise customers to reap the cost-saving and flexibility benefits of public cloud services without sacrificing manageability and security. The two new services are the first offering from SecureData’s new cloud security practice which will be headed up by the company’s solutions consultant, Alan Carter.
AffinityCloudEncrypt – improves cloud security with a key management server allowing physical and virtual servers hosted in both public and private clouds to encrypt all data.

AffinityCloudStorage – optimises hybrid cloud deployments making it easier for companies to integrate cloud storage into an existing infrastructure. Automated storage tiering increases cost savings by ensuring only archive data is stored in the cloud while frequently accessed data remains onsite.

• Compliance requirements are met with intelligent tiering that ensures data that should be kept onsite is never transferred to the cloud
• Simple management of cloud and onsite storage with a web-based interface.
The services also allow enterprises to enforce load-balancing and failover strategies across multiple cloud providers.
