SOA (service-oriented architecture)
A service-oriented architecture (SOA) in computing, is a supple set of design values used throughout the phases of system development and integration. A deployed SOA (service-oriented architecture ) -based architecture will offer a loosely-integrated suite of services that can be used within many corporation domains; service-oriented architecture (SOA).

An example of this would be, several dissimilar departments within a business may develop and install SOA (service-oriented architecture ) services in dissimilar functioning languages; their respective clients will therefore benefit from a well defined interface to access them. XML is commonly used for interfacing with SOA (service-oriented architecture ) services.
