Glyn Hughes, Technology Director, G4SGlyn Hughes was commissioned as an officer in the British Army in 1978, graduated as an engineer from Cambridge University in 1983, and served in the Royal Engineers until 1996. His British Army service spanned four continents, and he gained an MSc in Systems Design, Fellowship of the Royal Geographical Society and the rank of Major. Following a brief commission in the New Zealand Army, Glyn moved into civilian life and IT Management in 1998. He has worked in G4S for 11 years, heading the technology teams in the Justice and Cash operations and Group IT prior to assuming strategic responsibility for internal and customer facing technology in 2011. Glyn describes himself as a technology generalist who develops strategy to deliver simple outcomes in complex environments.
