Since 2007 she is Global Observatory & Portfolio Director at BBVA, where she manages the relationship with major Innovation Center in the world working with BBVA (SRI, MIT, and Fraunhofer among others). Carmen began her career at BBVA in 2002 as IT Manager. She has had several responsibilities during this period ranging from the definition of the Backup and Recovery Services and defined and developed the PMO in the Data Center. With a degree in Computer Sciences Engineer at Universidad Politécnica (Madrid) in 1989, she also studied at the Executive Development Program (PDD) of IESE Business School in 2003.
Her professional trajectory includes roles as CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at AOL Spain where she managed the definition, deployment and launch of AOL Internet Service in Spain and IT director at Terra Network where she managed a group of 70 persons. Carmen also has worked at Sun Microsystems and SGI.
