The Distributed Computing Industry Association is a Washington, DC based international trade organization with nearly 140 Member companies representing cloud computing firms, Internet service providers, and content rights holders.As a non-profit trade association, the DCIA is focused on commercial advancement of distributed computing technologies. The DCIA is engaged in supporting innovative business models and developing standards-and-practices on behalf of Member companies in this sector.
DCIA Membership is organized into three Groups: Operations, Platform, and Content. The DCIA conducts working groups and special projects, such as the P4P Working Group (P4PWG); Inadvertent Sharing Protection Working Group (ISPG); and Consumer Disclosures Working Group (CDWG). It also publishes the weekly online newsletter DCINFO.
