2012 Wrap-up Press Release
As we approach the end of 2012, the Cloud World Series team would like to thank everyone who has been involved in our events this year, from attendees and speakers to sponsors and partners.
The event series continued to grow in 2012, bringing together two of the world's leading series of cloud computing conference, the Cloud World Summit and the Cloud Computing World Series, to deliver an all-encompassing roadshow of cloud computing events.
We started the year in Dubai, with the 2nd Annual Cloud World Forum MENA, which took place in February and proved to be a great success, attracting some of the world’s top cloud players including Etisalat, ASG and Citrix.
The next stop was Johannesburg, South Africa, where the inaugural Cloud World Forum Africa took place in May. Attracting over 700 senior technology professionals from across the continent, the event is already being considered as one of the leading technology conferences in Africa.
Just one month later London played host to the 4th Annual Cloud World Forum, the Cloud World Series’ flagship event. The show attracted more than 4,000 delegates this year, including some of Europe’s most senior IT professionals, as well as the world’s leading technology companies who were on hand to discuss their latest cloud products and services.
In August our team headed to Brazil for the 2nd Annual Cloud World Forum Latin America. With cloud adoption rates in Latin America amongst the highest in the world, the event was held in Sao Paulo, the region’s largest and most business-focused city. The second edition of the show helped confirm the Cloud World Forum as one of the ‘’must attend’’ events in the Latin America IT calendar.
November proved to be one of the busiest months of 2012 for the team. Firstly we launched the Big Data World Congress, an intimate closed door event with a highly focused agenda looking at one of the newest enterprise technology topics. Then one week later we travelled to Asia where Hong Kong played host the hugely successful 3rd Annual Cloud World Forum Asia.
Last but not least, we recently launched the Cloud World Forum North America, which took place in New York during the first week of December. The first edition of the event attracted some of the region’s key cloud players and we hope that future shows will be even bigger, matching the steady growth of cloud adoption in North America.
Once again, the Cloud World Series team would like to thank all the professionals who were involved in our events this year. And as we continue to develop and expand our conference programmes we would like to offer you all an invitation to join us again in 2013.
As we all know a new year always brings new trends and topics, as well as new challenges. Our team will continue working hard to ensure our agendas best represent the rapidly changing and developing cloud market.
